New research released by SWGfL finds that 4 in 5 parents are concerned about exposure of their children to pornography online. The study also found that 60% of young people know how to bypass at least some internet safety restrictions in the home.

Online Safety Alerts - Think Before You Scare
The Education Safeguarding Advisor (Online Protection) within the Education Safeguarding Service regularly receives queries from schools in relation to warning parents/carers and young people about the online safeguarding risks they have heard about via the media.

1 in 5 British schools and colleges experienced a cyber-attack, with 50% of those being targeted by a phishing scam according to research last year. For those attacked, the loss of data (82%) and the costs involved in putting things right (47%) were the two greatest concerns.
