A course designed for professionals working with children and young people to familiarise themselves with the current online safety landscape, covering technologies and the behaviours that develop around them. We will provide an overview of current trends and issues as well as outlining statutory obligations and signposting useful resources.

Multi Agency Online Safety Training

This course is ideally suited for Local Authorities and has been designed for all professionals working with children and young people.
This one-day, scenario-based course takes apart issues in online safety and illustrates how professionals can best deal with the digital age and issues in a common-sense, practical and robust way. The aim of this course is to empower professionals with knowledge and skills to identify and respond appropriately to online incidents.

Free Online Safety Updates

Online Safety Live programme is the biggest online safety outreach programme in the UK for professionals working with children and young people. 

Delivered by SWGfL experts for the UK Safer Internet Centre, Online Safety Live events offer a brief update to anyone working with children and young people. Most importantly, they are free, local and short.

The events are suitable for the whole range of professionals in the children's workforce - teachers and school staff, Early Years and FE, police, youth workers, social workers, safeguarding professionals, sports coaches, healthcare professionals and many more. 

This year we have moved our Online Safety Live events online to ensure more people are able to access the world class sessions.
