Online Welfare Advice Packs for University Students

In September 2019, Universities UK published their report Tackling online harassment and promoting online welfare, making recommendations to improve:

student engagement
the promotion of online welfare, and
preventative and response strategies.

The Revenge Porn Helpline, Report Harmful Content and the Professionals Online Safety Helpline have been working with the National Stalking Helpline and the National Crime Agency to create an online welfare advice pack for both students and university staff. We hope these advice packs will educate university students to make informed decisions about their online activity and signpost to services for further support should they need to. University is an exciting new chapter for a lot of young people, we want to help keep it this way and encourage positive use while staying safe online.
