The Revenge Porn Helpline’s 2025 Annual Report paints a stark picture of the growing prevalence and evolving nature of intimate image abuse across the UK. Operated by SWGfL, the Helpline recorded nearly 25,000 reports during 2025 (an 11% increase on the previous year) making it the busiest year since the service was launched in 2015. These figures reflect not only rising demand for support, but also the increasing scale and sophistication of image-based abuse affecting individuals across all demographics.

Alongside the rise in reports, the Helpline saw a significant increase in requests for content removal, with more than 20,800 intimate images submitted for action (a 34% increase compared with 2024). Despite this growing volume, the service maintained an impressive removal rate of over 94%, demonstrating the critical role it continues to play in helping victims regain control over their online lives and reduce the ongoing harm caused by non-consensual intimate image sharing.

As technology continues to evolve and new forms of abuse emerge, the findings in this year’s report highlight both the growing challenges facing victims and the vital importance of specialist support services. The data underscores the urgent need for continued collaboration between industry, policymakers and support organisations to prevent abuse, improve protections and ensure those affected can access timely and effective assistance.
