360 Degree Safe was created to assist them in reviewing their online safety policy and practice.
This simple, digital tool allows schools to see where they succeed, but more importantly, where they need improvement. Since being created, 360 has supported thousands of schools to ensure their online safety is meeting expected requirements. The Schools Online Safety Index 2024, authored by Prof. Andy Phippen, groups and ranks online performance information from over 14,500 schools in England by Local Authority area. Based on self-review data from the 14,500 schools in England using 360 Degree Safe, the charts below show how everyone performs for 2024. A final score is shown as the ‘Index’ which is a combination of the performance and engagement score. This combination produces the final ranking. The performance value represents the aggregated rating for all schools in the area towards a good standard. The engagement value represents the percentage of schools engaged with the process, disclosing the priority placed on online safety in the area.
