Schools need advanced security products, but at affordable prices.
Sophos Mobile is a secure UEM solution that helps schools to simplify the management and security of traditional and mobile endpoints. It is the only UEM solution that is fully integrated with leading endpoint security products: Sophos Endpoint, Intercept X and Sophos Mobile Security.
Unified Endpoint Management
Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) is the evolution of Mobile Device Management (MDM). MDM allows for control of mobile devices, essentially restricting them to specific purposes. MDM usually includes remote control, device lockdown, and location tracking.
Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) grew from MDM, with the same features, but adding data management, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) support, application management and content Management.
UEM is the next step, with EMM features and covering not only mobile devices but other endpoints (e.g. desktops, printers, IoT devices etc.) through a single management console.
Secure Unified Endpoint Management
Sophos Mobile manages Windows 10 and macOS computers, and iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, in one platform: consistent policies can be applied regardless of the device type or operating system.
And, because Sophos is focussed on security, business data, users, and endpoints will be protected and secure.
Support for Bring Your Own Device
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) can be highly beneficial in schools, but protecting school data without impacting on the privacy of personal data is difficult.
Sophos Mobile comes with a container for email and documents that can be deployed to devices whether they’re managed or not. A Container-only deployment allows control over school content without interfering with the user’s personal content: perfect for BYOD. Sophos Containers have AES-256 encryption too.
Sophos Mobile Security
Sophos Mobile Security is the first line of defence for Android and iOS devices, including detection of Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks and malicious URLs (e.g. phishing) in SMS messages.
Sophos Mobile Security is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play, but can be deployed using Sophos Mobile and managed through Sophos Central.
