SWGfL Shortlisted for Two BETT Awards 2022

Friday is often the best time to get good news, after all, you’ve got the weekend to celebrate! We were over the moon then to see that on Friday last week, SWGfL was shortlisted as a finalist for not one but two BETT awards for 2022. The ceremony which takes place in January will soon announce whether two of our most well-known services, ProjectEVOLVE and 360 Early Years will take home the award.

The BETT awards is one of the leading education based ceremonies that celebrates technologies, tools and services which can aid professionals working with children and young people. We were fortunate enough to win two of these awards previously  in 2011 for 360 Safe and in 2015 for our work on BOOST which equipped schools with some of our most powerful online tools including Reputation Alerts and Whisper.

Which BETT Awards Were We Nominated For?

ProjectEVOLVE - Assessment, Planning and Progress

ProjectEVOLVE has been shortlisted for the Assessment, Planning and Progress Monitoring category. With the launch of the new knowledge map features earlier this year it has helped professionals within these exact areas.

The toolkit gathers essential data around how children and young people respond to common online scenarios, identifies where gaps are in their understanding and shows which material needs to be prioritised for further progression. This data can then provide a base for assessment of improvement throughout the school year.

360 Early Years - Early Years - Digital Product or Service

360 Early Years was shortlisted for the Early Years - Digital Product or Service category. With the renowned 360Safe, helping over 14,000 schools with their online safety policy and practice, the Early Years version has brought it to a much more targeted group within the education sector.

The early years version of 360safe is there to support those working with very young children to review their policies and ensure their online safety practice is running at a high standard.

Ken Corish (Online safety director at SWGfL) said:

We are so delighted to have two of our products shortlisted for BETT 2022. We built ProjectEVOLVE primarily to assist professionals with these core areas so they get as much support as they need when it comes to educating about young people’s digital lives. 360 Early Years is as well bringing online safety to a much younger year group that needs just as much support as other years do. It’s been a joy to work on these two products and we’re so happy to see what benefit they are bringing to so many people.
