In keeping the festive spirit alive, we’ve thought hard about how we can all keep our Christmas traditions going. Earlier this month, we put out a new resource which informed schools about putting on online performances. Not only did it offer valuable advice about maintaining safeguarding practice but it also allowed schools to carry on doing what the community enjoys the most.
Now, as we head into December, we’ve thought about how we can keep another tradition going. The advent calendar is something that the whole family enjoys. A countdown to Christmas that offers a surprise on every day. Sadly, we won’t be dishing out chocolate but we can offer something a bit more in our area of expertise.
24 Days Of Online Safety
In the run up to Christmas, we will be running our very own online safety advent calendar on social media. Each day a new message will be posted that will offer an important piece of advice around a certain topic whilst highlighting resources, tools or services that can help.
With so many different pieces of guidance to choose from, it was a tough call on which ones made the cut. Needless to say, throughout December there will be something for everyone. While I won’t be giving away all the details right here, some of the topics that will be covered include:
- Parental Controls
- Sexting
- Gaming
- Digital Wellbeing
- Social Media
- Data Security
