At SWGfL, we work to ensure that our services are accessible to all organisations. To extend our reach, we are delighted to announce our exclusive partnership with Safeguarding Network which works to support educational establishments and the protection of young people, staff, parents, and carers.
Free Use Of Whisper
We are able to provide Safeguarding Network members with free use of our anonymous reporting tool, Whisper. This exclusive offer will run from the 1st May 2025 until July 31st 2026. This opportunity allows Safeguarding Network members to experience the benefits of Whisper, understand how it can support young people, staff, and caregivers, while supporting long-term use of the tool.
To find out about how to use the free offer, information and advice can be found from the Safeguarding Network and SWGfL websites.

This partnership brings Whisper to the forefront of our safeguarding offering and ensures professionals can implement supportive tools into their community at no extra cost. Safeguarding Network has supported safeguarding professionals with their understanding of prevalent issues and through this new partnership, will now support their members with an approach to offline and online reporting.
John Woodhouse, Safeguarding Network Director, has said:
“Our students live in a demanding age of social and online interaction and it’s vital that we have a good appreciation of their online lives. Safeguarding Network are very pleased to partner with SWGfL, one of the founding members of the UK Safer Internet Centre, to maximise the benefits of online work with young people while raising professionals’ understanding of risk and their role in keeping young people safe online.
SWGfL’s Whisper® Anonymous Reporting tool provides schools and colleges with another route for young people to share worries or concerns, and we’re pleased our members can access this in their settings through to Summer 2026 as part of their Safeguarding Network membership.”
Naomi Lofkin, Digital Marketing Expert for SWGfL, has also praised the exciting partnership.
"We are proud to partner with Safeguarding Network, an organisation that provides vital support to safeguarding professionals across the UK. By offering Whisper to Safeguarding Network members, we are extending the tool’s reach and impact, giving more schools and organisations a trusted, essential way to address reporting concerns, particularly as online harms continue to grow."
More About Whisper
Whisper is our two-way anonymous reporting tool, ensuring communities have a safe and secure space to report worries and concerns. Schools and organisations can encourage use of Whisper through our poster generator, talk about the tool during assemblies, and promote within communal areas.
We have seen schools use Whisper to tackle broad issues, alternatively, it can be used to support specific incidents (for example, abuse and harassment). To learn more about Whisper, its features, how it can be used, and to access demo videos, please visit our website.
