This week, SWGfL attended a meeting with the Korean Communications Standards Commission, specifically with the Digital Sex Crime Bureau and representatives from the Korean regulator to discuss the cooperation of StopNCII.org and the wider work of SWGfL. The meeting allowed us to discuss our work as well as hear about what the Korean Communications Standards Commission, specifically the Digital Sex Crime Bureau are doing in the field.
Kate Worthington (from the Revenge Porn Helpline) and Boris Radanovic, discussed the history of SWGfL along with our ongoing work around online harms. Our operation of StopNCII.org and the Revenge Porn Helpline was discussed, along with how current legislation is being shaped around the issues we are seeing.
Kate Worthington from the Revenge Porn Helpline said:
It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with our international peers and discuss some of the most pressing topics being seen. Our international work allows us to understand the differences and challenges in the protection of individuals overseas and helps us to see what support can be provided. This meeting is the first of many discussions and we look forward to the future.
