SWGfL is pleased to be attending the ‘KCSIE Conference 2026: Safeguarding in Practice’, a free one-day event bringing together Designated Safeguarding Leads, school leaders and safeguarding professionals to explore what the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance means in practice.
Taking place on Thursday 8 October 2026 at NetSupport’s HQ in Peterborough, the conference follows the publication of KCSIE 2026, giving attendees the opportunity to hear expert perspectives and leave with practical ideas they can apply in their own settings.
Expert Speakers
SWGfL's Traci Gregory will be joining an expert line-up of speakers from across the safeguarding sector including Alan Mackenzie, alongside representatives from the Internet Watch Foundation, Creative Education Trust, Nova Education Trust and The King's (The Cathedral) School. As a founding partner of the UK Safer Internet Centre, SWGfL will share key findings and emerging trends in our session: 'The Current State of Online Safety', offering delegates valuable insight into data and trends. The conference will also feature sessions on the growing role of AI in safeguarding, KCSIE compliance, lived safeguarding experiences and practical strategies for supporting children in today's digital world.
Throughout the day, delegates will also have the opportunity to meet the CPOMS team in the exhibition area, network with colleagues from across the education sector and take part in practical sessions designed to help schools prepare for the year ahead. Lunch and refreshments are included, and attendance is free, although places are limited.
