SWGfL recently received a Cyber Essentials / Plus certificate to highlight our continued vigilance around cybersecurity. As part of our annual review, there were some important updates around two-factor authentication that our users need to be aware of.
Mandatory 2FA
As part of the Cyber Essentials Plus criteria, having two-factor or multi-factor authentication (2FA/MFA) deployed on cloud-based services is now a mandatory requirement.
At SWGfL we develop solutions with safety at the heart of our design, with all our products and services incorporating and offering the additional security of 2FA/MFA.
Many of our customers have already taken advantage of this feature by enabling 2FA/MFA across their accounts. To ensure all our customers are utilising all cyber security features available to them, we strongly encourage anyone who hasn’t enabled 2FA/MFA to do so as a matter of urgency.
Enable 2FA/MFA
Checking you have 2FA/MFA enabled is easy, just go to your account dashboard and click on My Account. Here you’ll find the status of 2FA/MFA. If not enabled, chose Edit Settings and follow the instructions to ensure you’re all protected.
