Both the Revenge Porn Helpline and Baroness Owen of Alderley Edge were announced as finalists in the 2026 Prevention of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Awards.
Organised by Total Politics, the awards recognise individuals and organisations driving meaningful change in the prevention of violence against women and girls across the UK.
The Revenge Porn Helpline has been shortlisted in recognition of our frontline support for those experiencing intimate image abuse. As the UK’s dedicated service supporting anyone over the age of 18, the Helpline continues to provide critical support and content removal assistance for thousands of people every year.
Alongside this, Baroness Owen has been recognised for her significant contribution to policy and advocacy surrounding online harms and violence against women and girls. Her recent work pushing for stronger protections against intimate image abuse and technology-facilitated abuse has helped drive important conversations around accountability, victim protection, and legislative reform.
Sophie Mortimer (Head of services at SWGfL) said: ‘The recognition reflects growing national awareness of the impact of intimate image abuse and the importance of coordinated responses across policy, technology and support services. We are incredibly proud to see both the Revenge Porn Helpline and Baroness Owen recognised alongside so many individuals and organisations working to create safer environments for women and girls.’
The winners will be announced at the Prevention of VAWG Awards ceremony at Speaker’s House in the Palace of Westminster on 22 June 2026.
