Report Harmful Content announce 9 new partnerships contributing to safer online dating and gaming.

Report Harmful Content (RHC) is a national reporting centre which has been designed to assist everyone in reporting harmful content on a range of social media platforms. We deal with reports on abuse, bullying and harassment, threats, impersonation, unwanted sexual advances, violent content, self-harm/suicide content and pornographic content. Since launching in 2019, we have helped over 550 clients and our success rate for taking action against harmful content currently stands at 91%.

The success of our service has meant that we are seeing a growing range of reports from a much broader range of platforms, beyond simply the big social media sites. We have been working behind the scenes to grow our service and we now have some exciting news! From the 8th September our remit will be expanding to deal with harmful content located on dating sites and a couple more platforms. We will be working in partnership with 7 popular dating apps- Tinder, Hinge, Match.com, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Twoo and OurTime, livestreaming platform- Twitch and chat app- Discord, all with the aim of making every area of online life safe and enjoyable. You can find them all listed here at Report Harmful Content.

The decision to expand our service in these directions is based on our ongoing monitoring of the types of reports made to RHC. Our experience running the service over the last 18 months has made us aware that issues such as abuse, impersonation and unwanted sexual advances are common for users of dating sites. It has also become evident that violent content and bullying can, all too frequently, ruin the experience of gaming for many individuals. At RHC we believe that everyone should be free to date and enjoy gaming online free from harm. If you have experienced abuse whilst dating or gaming, then head over to our website to find out how we can help.

Remember, you can also still contact us to report harmful content on any of our existing partnership platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Roblox, TikTok, LinkedIn, Bing, Xbox, Skype, Minecraft, YouTube, YouTube Kids, Google Search and Blogger.
