ProjectEVOLVE Wins UK IT Industry Award

We were delighted to be announced as the winner for Best Charity (Third Sector) IT Project of the Year at the UK IT Industry Awards last night. The UK IT Industry awards are there to ‘celebrate and promote the organisations, teams, projects, technologies and individuals who have given so much, and those who continue to help shape the future of IT, our industry and digital society.’

ProjectEVOLVE was included alongside other leading organisations throughout the UK who are making significant waves within the field of technology. Our own work on ProjectEVOLVE has always been to ensure that professionals working with children can have an accessible way to educate their students around digital development.

The technology itself has been a pioneering factor in how accommodating the toolkit has been for many, with the knowledge map feature in particular, providing a new way for schools to bring engaging and fun discussion into the classroom. As the toolkit continues to evolve, we will ensure we continue to innovate and bring online safety discussion more and more into education.

Ken Corish (Project Lead for ProjectEVOLVE said)

‘'At SWGfL we always strive to ensure that everyone can benefit from technology, free from harm and ProjectEVOLVE is an essential project that works towards achieving that very goal. To have this award is such a wonderful recognition, not just for the team but for anyone who has used a ProjectEVOLVE resource or started a discussion about online development within their classroom.

Recognising online safety as an essential part of education is a vital role we all need to play in the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. We thank everyone who has supported ProjectEVOLVE so far and we promise to continue ‘evolving’.’’

If you have not yet signed up to ProjectEVOLVE, find out how you can get free resources to educate children and young people around their digital development.
