The webinar will take place on Tuesday 20 October at 3:45pm and will provide an opportunity for local authorities, school leaders, designated safeguarding persons, online safety leads and governors to learn more about how the recently updated 360 safe Cymru tool can support their approach to online safety.
360 safe Cymru helps schools review and evaluate their online safety provision, benchmark their practice against recognised standards, identify areas for development and produce targeted action plans. The tool also provides access to a range of supporting resources and policy templates to help schools strengthen their online safety arrangements.
The tool was updated in September to improve its usability and in response to updates in national guidance and developments in the use of digital technologies. Schools are recommended to revisit their 360 safe Cymru reviews to ensure they meet the updated standards.
During the webinar, participants will:
- Learn about the key features and benefits of 360 safe Cymru.
- Explore how the tool can support whole-school online safety improvement.
- Discover the latest updates and resources available through the platform.
- Hear practical advice on using the tool to support self-evaluation, action planning and safeguarding practice.
- Have the opportunity to ask questions and share experiences with colleagues from across Wales.
