Get Ready for Safer Internet Day 2022

While we all may be getting back in the swing of things, there’s already plenty to look forward to for the new school term. Safer Internet Day is just over a month away and there’s already so much you can do to get involved. Take a look at some of the activities you can do below to show your support on the 8th February 2022.

Get Involved in Safer Internet Day

Register Your Organisation as a Supporter

It’s so easy to register your support for Safer Internet Day. All you have to do is fill out a registration form where you provide your organisation’s logo and write a short text about how you will be supporting on the day. We had over 2000 organisations last year so let’s make sure we beat that number!

Check out the Safer Internet Day Films

We’ve worked with schools across the UK to bring you our new Safer Internet Day films where students are discussing the theme of ‘All fun and Games? Exploring Respect and Relationships Online.’ Watch the various videos from primary schools and secondary schools as they also give tips towards parents and carers.

Use the Educational Resources

There is a range of educational resources which can be used with students in teaching as well as parents. Included are conversation starters, quick activities, and a family internet safety plan to help you make the most of Safer Internet Day. Make sure you check them out and download them.

Social Media Support

You can already start talking about Safer Internet Day online by using the hashtag #SaferInternetDay and #PlayYourPart. Also on the UK Safer Internet Centre website, there’s a supporter’s social media pack that includes content to post in the lead up to the day as well as information about the theme.
