With just three months left until Safer Internet Day takes place on February 11th, 2025, the official resources for the day are now available to download for free on the UK Safer Internet Centre website! Designed by online safety experts, these resources are created to help educators integrate online safety discussions into their lessons and to empower young people of all ages to stay safe online as part of Safer Internet Day.
Free Resources for All Ages
The Safer Internet Day Education Resources are specifically crafted for educators to engage young people of all ages, centered on this year’s theme: Too Good to Be True? Protecting Yourself and Others from Online Scams. Each resource pack includes presentation slides, activities, and even a full school assembly program, all tailored for the following age groups:
- Ages 3-7
- Ages 7-11
- Ages 11-14
- Ages 14-18
Thanks to support from the Welsh Government and the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland, these resources are also available in Welsh and Irish.
Practical Tips for Spotting Scams
In addition to educational resources, we’ve also created essential tips for young people, parents, and caregivers on recognising and avoiding online scams. These tips, tailored for different age groups, provide practical advice on staying safe online:
- Ages 7-11
- Ages 11-14
- Ages 14-18
- Parents and caregivers
For each age group, we’ve also outlined common online scams that young people should be aware of, giving age-appropriate guidance for identifying risky online behaviours.
